Quick Summary
The National Institute on Aging (NIA), under the National Institutes of Health, has issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source for specialized mass spectrometry services. The purpose is to analyze 14-3-3 protein binding partners in mouse heart models to understand their role in heart cell survival and regulation. The intended sole source is MSBIOWORKS LLC. Interested parties capable of fulfilling this requirement must submit a capability statement by April 9, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
The NIA Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science (LCS) is studying the detection of 14-3-3 protein binding partners in an adenylyl cyclase (AdCy8) overexpression mouse strain. This project aims to elucidate the pathways and mechanisms of 14-3-3 protein partners in heart cell survival, renewal, and mitosis. The contractor will be required to:
- Perform Mass Spectrometry (MS) on 28 samples (control and AC8TG tissues).
- Analyze and compare the resulting data.
- Provide raw data, analysis, and a comprehensive report explaining the results.
