Scope of Work
The contract requires annual preventative maintenance (PM) and inspections for various STERIS-manufactured laboratory equipment, including:
- AMSCO Century and Lab Series Steam Sterilizers
- Other Steam and Electric Sterilizers
- Stand-Alone Generators
- Low Temperature Sterilizers (VHP M100, VHP LTS-V, VHP Victory, M10, 1000 ED S and AB, M1000S T4, MD140X, 100i, 1000i, and LS60)
- Reliance Laboratory Washers
- Basil 3500, 9500, and 4000 Series Washers
- All other Washers
Services will be performed at three FSIS laboratory locations:
- FSIS Eastern Laboratory: 950 College Station Road, Athens, GA 30605
- FSIS Midwestern Laboratory: 7654 Natural Bridge Road, Normandy, MO 63121
- FSIS Western Laboratory: 800 Buchanan St., Albany, CA 94710

Justification for Sole Source
The Government has determined that STERIS Corporation is the only reasonably available source because:
- STERIS is the sole factory-authorized supplier of parts and service for AMSCO, Finn-Aqua, Reliance, Basil, and HAMO brands.
- STERIS does not use distributors; all OEM replacement parts are sold directly.
- Maintenance requires factory-trained personnel, and STERIS maintains a proprietary workforce of over 950 such specialists.
