• Methodology: Data collection must follow the "National Resources Inventory Grazing Land On-Site Data Collection, Handbook of Instructions." Segments are often in remote, rugged terrain, potentially requiring 4-wheel drive and hiking.
• Data Entry & Submission: Data will be entered into hand-held computers using NRCS-approved CASI software and submitted to the Iowa State University Center for Survey Statistics and Methodology.
• Timeline: Field data collection is scheduled by MLRA (March-May, May-July, July-September), with data transmission and digital camera images due by September 30 annually. Mandatory NRCS training and calibration are required before field collection.
