Quick Summary

Scope of Work
The contractor will manufacture Hex Nuts in accordance with Ingersoll Rand drawings 11312-F-18 and PL-11312-F-18, item 179B. The material must be QQ-N-286, K-MONEL Fasteners, hot finished or cold drawn (annealed and age hardened). This material is for a critical shipboard system where failure could lead to serious injury, loss of life, or loss of the ship.
Key Requirements

Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests must be performed by approved laboratories.
- Manufacturing: Internal threads must be cut, not cold formed. Thread inspection must follow FED-STD-H28 series or ASME B1.
- Quality System: Contractors must maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (amplified/modified) and ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. MIL-I-45208 with MIL-STD-45662 is an acceptable alternative. Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at source is required.
- Certifications & Traceability: Strict traceability is mandatory, from material to certification test reports, using unique numbers. Material marking must comply with MIL-STD-792 and MIL-DTL-1222. A Certificate of Compliance for Special Emphasis Material is required, detailing contractor information, contract number, NSN, and confirmation of full compliance.
- Delivery Schedule: Certification data CDRLs are due 20 days prior to scheduled delivery, with final material delivery 365 days after the contract's effective date.
- WAWF: Certification data must be submitted via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) to "Ship to" N50286, "Inspect by" N39040, "Accept by" N39040, with email notification to PORT_PTNH_WAWF_NOTIFICATION@NAVY.MIL.
