Key Requirements & Quality Assurance

This is an Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities (EAF) requirement, and any resultant award will be DO certified under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). Extensive quality assurance is mandated, requiring a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208 as an alternate) and calibration systems per ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025 (or MIL-STD-45662 as an alternate). Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at the source is required, necessitating notification to DCMA. Strict traceability and certification are paramount for this Level I/SUBSAFE material, including unique traceability markings, chemical and mechanical analysis per ASTM-F467, and re-certification if material properties are altered. Material marking for fasteners must comply with MIL-DTL-1222, with a material grade marking of "F467BT". All certification data must be submitted to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard via WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow) prior to shipment.
