Quality Assurance & Traceability
Due to the critical nature of this material, extensive quality assurance and traceability requirements are mandated. Contractors must maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) and calibration systems per ISO-10012 (or MIL-STD-45662). Government Quality Assurance (GQA) will be performed at the source. Certifications are required for Magnetic Particle Inspection, Quality Conformance Tests, and First Article Testing (FAT). Hydrogen embrittlement relief certification is also necessary for plated fasteners. A Certificate of Compliance is mandatory for all SPECIAL EMPHASIS material, ensuring full adherence to specifications and traceability to material certification test reports. Material must be permanently marked for traceability per MIL-STD-792 and MIL-DTL-1222.
