Statement of Work (SOW)

To plan and install deep-water and drip irrigation systems for a 2.3-acre historic orchard area at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge (DNWR) in Las Vegas, Nevada, to enhance habitat quality.

• Install a deep-water irrigation system for 50 mature trees using 1½” SCH40 PVC pipe and emitter tubing.

• Install a drip irrigation system for approximately 35 newly planted trees, seven pollinator patches, and plants in the berm area using 1” SCH40 PVC pipe and emitter tubing or shrubblers.

• Connect to existing two-inch water system - RainBird electric valves.

• Trenches for burying irrigation pipe must be dug with hand tools.

• Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, PVC pipe, fittings, tubing, connectors, emitters, and shrubblers.

• Contractor is responsible for transportation to the work site.

• Irrigation systems must deliver uniform and adequate water distribution.

• Drip irrigation for pollinator plants and berm area requires adjustable shrubblers emitting 1 to 10 gallons per hour.

• All work must comply with Attachment 1, General Requirements & Specifications.

• Systems require pressure testing for integrity and proper operation.

• Period of Performance: April 15, 2026 – May 30, 2026 (or within 45 calendar days of Notice to Proceed).

• Location: Desert National Wildlife Refuge, 16001 Corn Creek Road, Las Vegas NV 89124-8402.
