Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to safely remove a hyperbaric recompression chamber (RCC) and ancillary equipment (AE) from the USCGC Polar Star's flight deck and load it onto a commercial shipping truck. Key requirements include:
- Providing an all-terrain crane with a nominal capacity of 190 tons, capable of lifting 30,000 lbs from 150 feet away from the pier and 10-20 feet above the pier.
- Supplying a certified crane operator, qualified rigger/signal person, and a lift director.
- Coordinating with the Base Seattle Point of Contact (POC) for offload timing and location.
- Offloading the RCC and AE to a designated area on Pier 46 if the shipping truck is delayed.
- Providing a written quote detailing pricing, lifting capacity, labor, and transportation.
