- Inspection, repair, sanding, staining (to match existing), and refinishing of existing hardwood floors using the BONA process or approved equal. Contractor is responsible for baseboard removal and reinstallation.
- Mora Residence (Forks, WA):
- Removal and disposal of existing carpet and other flooring.
- Installation of new closed loop berber style carpet (Shaw, Pure and Simple, Nature's Mist or approved equal) with a minimum 20-year warranty.
- Installation of luxury vinyl plank flooring (National Flooring Products, Tuff Core, Bryanston #838 RE-LAM or approved equal) with a 1-year installation and 10-year performance warranty.
- Removal of vinyl base molding and replacement with stained wood baseboard matching the existing house, ensuring new height covers the old.
- General Contractor Responsibilities: Verify material quantities, provide flooring samples, submit wood floor refinishing steps, supply all equipment, labor, and materials, clean work areas, and coordinate schedules with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The government will remove furniture and appliances upon request.
- Safety: Contractors must comply with general safety requirements, including a Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), weekly safety inspections, and meetings, and NFPA 241 for fire prevention.
