  • Conducting inspections, disassembly/assembly, adjustments, cleaning, calibrations, and replacement of defective components.
  • Providing "on-demand" assistance, installing hardware/software, diagnosing, and resolving reported issues.
  • Supplying all labor for repairs and identifying/quoting necessary parts and consumables.
  • Covered equipment includes, but is not limited to, Vital Signs Monitors, Alaris Pump Modules, Kangaroo ePump, Surgical Tables, Beds, and Stretchers.

Special Requirements

  • Certifications: Contractors must have at least one year of experience in a Clinical Engineering Program performing hardware/software troubleshooting on medical devices. Professional certifications (CBET, CRES) or equivalent DoD training, or equipment-specific service training certifications are accepted.
  • Badging & Training: Compliance with VA Handbook 0735 – HSPD-12 for badging is mandatory, including background checks and fingerprinting (up to 30 days processing). Approximately two hours of mandatory training via the VA's electronic Training Management System (TMS) is required before badges are issued.
