Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for the overhaul of the MK27F COMPASS, GYRO, Part Number 4800880-1.

• Repair of the MK27F COMPASS, GYRO in accordance with SFLC SPEC R-400-299-M Specification for the Repair of Electronic Equipment and Modules.

• Packaging: Individually packaged and initially wrapped in Electrostatic Discharge Protective material conforming to MIL-PRF-81705E, Type III.

• Marking: In accordance with MIL-STD-129R, with bar coding per ISO/IEC-16388-2007, Code 39 Symbology.

• Shipment Packaging: Each unit to be packed individually in its own wooden box capable of providing adequate protection during multiple shipments.

• Shipment Marking: Each box must be marked with National Stock Number (6605-01-568-4117), Item Name (COMPASS, GYRO), Part Number (4800880-1), Government Order Number, and "Coast Guard SFLC Material, Condition 'A'".

• Standard Manufacturer's Warranty.

• The repaired item, considered "onboard repair" or "system stock" and not for immediate installation, must be guaranteed against defects leading to failure for a period of up to two (2) years after delivery to the Coast Guard.

• Acceptance will be made at destination by a Government representative.

• Acceptance is contingent upon verification of no transit damage, correctness and completeness of the order, and conformance to preservation, packaging, packing, and marking requirements.

The U.S. Coast Guard requires the repair of electronic components used in communication and navigation systems to ensure they function "like new" when installed on Coast Guard Cutters and boats.

• The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, personnel, labor, materials, and test equipment necessary to repair materials requested via a BPA call.

• Upon receipt, the contractor must verify component count and type, reporting discrepancies to the Contracting Officer (KO).

• The contractor shall evaluate each received component, reporting the cause of failure, type of technician used, hours, and parts required for repair. This report must be submitted within 15 days of receipt.

• No repair work is to commence until authorized by the KO. If repair is not authorized, the KO will provide disposition instructions.

• Repaired materials must be returned to a "ready for issue" (RFI) condition.

• A Quality Conformance Inspection must be performed on all repaired materials.

• The contractor must provide repair status or a list of inducted materials within 48 hours of request.

• Repaired components must function "like new."

• A Quality Conformance Inspection is required for all repaired material.
