Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for the overhaul, repair, and testing of Reliance 0.75 HP AC Motors with attached Stearns Motor Brakes (SM-50-20MB) used on 418 ft WMSL U.S. Coast Guard Cutters.

• Receipt, disassembly, inspection, condition/test reports, overhaul/repair, reassembly, testing, preservation, packaging, and marking of the specified AC motors and brakes.

• The motor rotating element shall be balanced.

• Data plates on the motor and brake must be protected or replaced.

• The entire motor and motor brake unit shall be painted with primer and finish coats.

• Overhaul must return the motor's performance and appearance to a like-new condition.

• Winding resistance must meet IEEE 43-2000 standards.

• Motor rotating element balancing must meet NEMA MG1-2006 standards.

• Final energized operational tests must be performed to certify and document performance characteristics per IEEE Std 112-2004.

• Motor brake performance must meet OEM specifications; discrepancies will require replacement, not repair.
