Scope of Work
The requirement involves the evaluation and refurbishment of Allied Systems model CT-5 boat davit winches to a "like new" condition. These winches are critical for small boat launch and recovery systems on 175 WLM and 210 WMEC class cutters. Key tasks include:
- Disassembly and Inspection: Thorough inspection to identify necessary repairs, documenting findings, recommendations, and required parts.
- Refurbishment: Overhaul, repair, and reassembly of the winches.
- Modification: Conversion to include Parker ORS series O-Ring seal split flange fittings for fluid interfaces.
- Parts: Use only new, original equipment replacement parts or equivalent.
- Surface Preparation & Painting: Prepare surfaces to near white metal (SSPC-SP 10) and apply a specified Polysiloxane paint system (zinc-rich primer, first coat, and top coat) in SPAR color number 10371.
- Performance Testing: Conduct comprehensive tests including no-load, dynamic overload, static overload, rated load, and constant tension tests to ensure maximum design performance and hydraulic fluid cleanliness (17/14 or better).
- Documentation: Prepare and submit a condition found report, part list, repair quote, and a final test report.
