Original Post 24 September 2025: The Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the Joint Munitions Command, hereby issues solicitation W519TC-25-R-A005 for the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) beginning in calendar year 2026. HWAD is a Government-Owned Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility located in Hawthorne, Nevada that provides Supply Depot Operations (SDO), including storage, receipts, and issues, as well as demilitarization of munitions. HWAD is the largest Army Depot in the Organic Industrial Base and the only GOCO with demilitarization capability. In addition to SDO and demilitarization of munitions, the operating contractor will be required to operate, maintain, and modernize equipment and facilities, as well as provide numerous base support operations (e.g., environmental, fire protection, safety, security).
