Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for an Ordnance Deformer, Stationary Electric unit to process spent cartridge cases.

• Procure one (1) Ordnance Deformer, Stationary Electric unit.

• The unit must process spent cartridge cases up to and including 20mm at a rate of 8,000 to 11,000 lbs per hour, depending on size and mix of cartridges.

• The system must include:

  • Infeed conveyor with electric drive and high-speed rotary drum grinder.
  • Hood, chute, and soft start for the infeed conveyor.
  • Discharge conveyor with electronic drive.
  • Control panel and system integration.

• The unit must be 120/208 Volt, 3 Phase.

• The requirement includes installation, set up, and training for one group, including on-site calibration to meet government specifications.

• Shipping of one (1) unit is required.

• Processing rate: 8,000 to 11,000 lbs per hour.

• Must be capable of processing cartridge cases up to and including 20mm.

• Equipment must be tested to be capable of containing overpressure, fragment, and thermal hazards associated with a worst-case reaction involving a single live round of the most energetic cartridge that could be processed.

• Equipment must be operated within manufacturer's specifications.

• Equipment must be inspected and maintained to ensure safe operation.
