Critical Safety Item & Source Approval
The Gearbox, Accessory Drive is an aviation Critical Safety Item (CSI) as defined by DFARS 209.270-2. As such, the upgrade/overhaul can only be performed by a source approved by the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD). Currently, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (CAGE 78286) is the only known approved source.
