Scope of Work
USTRANSCOM is soliciting information on aircraft that meet the following criteria:
- Currently under development as a civilian aircraft as of June 2025.
- Capable of transporting space launch vehicles and other Department of Defense articles up to 300 feet long, which cannot be readily transported by existing aircraft due to dimensions.
- Could enter service no later than December 31, 2035.
- Able to provide and supplement large and oversized fixed-wing air cargo transportation services to support DoD readiness and logistical needs by December 31, 2035, and beyond.
- Capable of providing between 2,000 and 7,500 hours of airplane time annually for a period of 2 to 5 years, starting when the aircraft enters service.
