The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a contract on an other than full and open competition basis with The Boeing Company (Boeing), Seattle, WA. The anticipated contract is for the required effort to procure Integrated Air Data Inertial Reference Unit (I-ADIRU) Updates in support of the latest configuration of the flight deck system for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This action shall be procured pursuant of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A aircraft with the detailed knowledge to allow them to perform the updates and retrofits in a timely and cost-effective manner.
