The contractor shall furnish, deliver, install, configure, test, and make fully operational one (1) Human Machine Interface (HMI) touchscreen controller for the existing Tecniplast P-Line water bottle automation machine located in the Building 35/35A vivarium clean side cagewash area. The new clean-side HMI must be compatible with the existing system and replicate operational functions, allowing staff to monitor, control, manage, and troubleshoot the machine from the clean side, minimizing downtime and wasted resources.

Specific requirements include:

  • Providing and installing a Tecniplast-compatible clean-side HMI touchscreen controller (P/N U000003552).
  • Supplying all necessary manufacturer-approved components, mounting hardware, cabling, connectors, interface modules, software, firmware, and licenses.
  • Delivering materials to the NIH Main Campus, Building 35/35A vivarium cagewash area.
  • Coordinating installation with the COR to minimize disruption and adhering to facility access, safety, and biosecurity requirements.
  • Installing the HMI securely in a government-approved location, ensuring safe operator access and visibility without obstructing operations.
  • Routing and protecting all wiring professionally.
  • Connecting the HMI to the existing control system to ensure proper communication and functionality without adversely affecting the existing dirty-side HMI or safety features.
