Scope of Work
The anticipated contract will require the contractor to furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials (except government-furnished items) for the preparation of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel's personal property for shipment, drayage, and/or storage through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM). Services include:
- Packing, containerization (excluding Government-Owned Containers), stenciling, and cooperage.
- Drayage of personal property in connection with other services.
- Decontainerization of inbound shipments and handling of shipments into and out of the contractor's facility.
- Premove surveys, accurate weighing, and detailed inventorying.
- Ensuring property protection during movement, including specific instructions for unusual items and firearms.
- Compliance with marking standards for exterior shipping containers.
- Providing required documentation, reports, and establishing a quality control program.
- Maintaining facilities that meet outlined guidelines and providing necessary insurance (Workmen's Compensation, General Liability, Automobile Liability, Cargo).
