Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This project aims to address the deterioration and poor drainage of pedestrian pathways within Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park, specifically at Mary Ellen Kramer Park and adjacent to the Great Falls Hydroelectric Building.

• Resurface approximately 2,950 SF of existing stone dust pathways bordered by Belgian blocks.

• Section 1: 1,850 SF within Mary Ellen Kramer Park.

• Section 2: 1,100 SF adjacent to the Great Falls Hydroelectric Building at 100 McBride Ave, Paterson.

• Work includes: protecting existing Belgian block edging, removing stone dust, regrading and recompaction of base material, installing asphalt paving, and applying a resin-bonded aggregate surface material.

• Lawn operations and repair of damaged turf are also included.

• The resin-bonded surfacing must be UV stable, flexible, and hand-applied by a certified applicator to match existing Addistone pavement.

• The final surface must be attractive, safe, accessible, hard-wearing, and low-maintenance.

• The bonded aggregate must be suitable for pedestrian and vehicle use, providing a natural-looking finish.

• A minimum guarantee period of 3 years for the bonded aggregate is required.

• Asphalt paving depth: 2-1/2 inches.

• Resin bonded surface material depth: no more than 1/4 inch.

• Asphalt curing period: not less than 30 days.

• Pavement surface smoothness tolerance: 1/4 inch (6 mm) over 10 feet.

• Compaction density for hot-mix asphalt: 92% of reference maximum theoretical density (90-96% range).
