Quick Summary
Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management & Operating Contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Idaho National Laboratory (INL), is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified vendors for roof replacement services at the PBF-613 facility in Idaho Falls, ID. This project supports INL's infrastructure maintenance. Responses will inform a potential Request for Proposals (RFP). Submissions are due by April 1, 2026.
Scope of Work
The project involves the total replacement of the existing built-up tar and gravel roof system at the PBF-613 facility, a former reactor facility built in 1963. The roof consists of four separate zones at differing heights:
- Zone 1: approximately 890 square feet
- Zone 2: approximately 600 square feet
- Zone 3: approximately 1,580 square feet
- Zone 4: approximately 3,480 square feet
In addition to roof replacement, the scope includes the removal of the existing blower, HEPA housing, skids, and capping of electrical and ducting on the Zone 1 roof. Careful scheduling will be required to avoid interference with previously scheduled training evolutions.
