Purpose
NSWCPD Code 325 is seeking non-personal engineering support services to advance its Energy Conversion R&D initiatives. The Government will use responses to determine industry capabilities and potential small business participation.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive engineering and technical support for U.S. Navy equipment and systems, covering:
- Research and Subject Matter Expertise: Advanced Power Generation, Superconducting Technologies, Submarine Life Support, Thermal Management, Power and Energy Systems, Dynamic Controls R&D, Ventilation & Aerodynamics, and Technology Analysis.
- Engineering and Design: Conceptual design, modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and engineering drawing development/review.
- Test and Evaluation (T&E): Developing test plans, procedures, supporting labs (e.g., PEDAL), test sites, and operations, including vibration and acoustics testing.
- System and Fleet Support: Preparing alteration packages, performing ship checks, troubleshooting equipment, and monitoring performance.
- Program Management and Support: Financial and status reporting, labor tracking, technical writing, presentation development, content management, program planning, scheduling, Earned Value Management (EVM), and meeting support.
