Purpose
This is a Sources Sought notice for informational and planning purposes only, not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP). The government seeks to determine the availability of businesses, including various small business subsets (Small Disadvantaged, HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Woman Owned), to supply the specified lighting kits. This notice does not commit the Government to a contract, and responders will not be reimbursed for costs incurred.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for three (3) complete Phantom Landing Zone Lighting Kits. Each kit must include:
- Twenty (20) AZL-15 lights.
- Two (2) compatible remote transmitters.
- One (1) Pelican case sized to house all kit components.
- Lights must be powered by AA batteries.
Performance Standards & Special Requirements
- Lights must be the AZL15 model, regulated by AFI 10-406, with an output of at least 15 candelas.
- Capable of switching between blue, white, and Infrared (IR) lighting modes, with user-selectable steady-on and flashing functions.
- Transmitters must have a minimum effective transmission range of 4000 feet.
- Equipment must meet USAF landing zone and drop zone lighting requirements (AFI 13-217).
- A minimum 12-month warranty is required for all equipment.
- All freight, handling, and labor charges must be included.
