Statement of Work (SOW)

To clean and repair the tile on the pool deck and in the male and female locker rooms at Building 48, Coast Guard Base Alameda, ensuring longevity and a clean appearance.

• Project Management: Designate a point of contact, coordinate with the government POC, and obtain necessary permits.

• Clear Interferences: Remove rusted benches and fixtures, and move furniture as needed.

• Spot Repair: Identify and repair existing tiling failures (refer to Appendix B for examples).

• Containment: Use containment or ventilation to prevent dust spread.

• Grouting: Grind down existing grout and install new grout.

• Cleaning: Clean existing tile.

• Deck Drains: Replace deck drains (6 in Female Locker Room, 14 in Male Locker Room, 10 on Pool Deck).

• Preservation: Apply a seal coat to the pool deck.

• Site Cleanup: Remove and dispose of construction materials and debris daily and upon completion.

• Materials must conform to specified standards for grout (High Performance Epoxy) and tile (High Quality Porcelain or Ceramic).

• Tile replacements for the pool deck are 1"x1", for the male locker room are 2"x2" (anticipating <1 sq ft repair), and for the female locker room are 2"x2" (anticipating 5 sq ft repair).

• All work must comply with applicable federal, state, local codes, industry standards, and USCG-specific standards (COMDTINST M5100.47(series), OSHA Regulations).

• Work schedule to be agreed upon within 15 days of award.

• Notice to Proceed issued after schedule agreement.

• All work to be completed within 60 calendar days from the contract award date.

• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, unless otherwise approved.

• Place of performance is Building 48, Coast Guard Base Alameda.

• Submittals: Provide intended product details (with color samples for grout and spot repair tiles) and an initial project schedule within 10 business days of award.

• Laydown and Material Storage: Coordinate storage space with the Coast Guard POC; contractor responsible for security and tidiness.

• Personnel Security and Base Access: Submit employee names/birthdates 72 hours prior for access; Real ID-compliant identification required; adhere to base regulations, traffic laws, and security protocols; wear company identifying clothing/badging; vehicles must display decals.

• Government Furnished Services: Potable water and electrical power may be furnished by the Government.

• Acceptance Criteria: Final acceptance by USCG COR after inspection confirms completion, adherence to standards, and site restoration. Final payment contingent on correction of deficient items.
