Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), is conducting a Sources Sought for market research to identify potential sources, including Small Businesses, capable of providing the AFRAT Portable HPGe Gamma Spectrometer. This is for the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Responses are due by July 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST.
Scope of Work
The government seeks capabilities packages for two AFRAT Portable HPGe Gamma Spectrometer units. These units are critical for the Air Force Radiation Assessment Teams (AFRAT) Labs to characterize and determine the half-life of radioisotopes in field environments, supporting real-time radiological threat assessment and force protection. Each unit must have a minimum 10-year shelf life and include 3 years of software licensing. Specific components required include a shipping case, internal and spare batteries, AC power supplies, external chargers, Genie-Single Genie Spectroscopy Suite, and ISOCS Efficiency Calibration software. Units must NOT have GPS and WiFi capabilities. The requirement also includes two ISOXCAL units, two ruggedized 14" laptops with specific configurations (Windows 10 Pro, Core i5, 8GB Memory, 512GB SSD), Canberra factory software installation, and 3-year licenses for Genie Single-Input and ISOCS/LabSOCS SW. On-site installation, support, and training are also required.
