Scope of Work
BNL requires portable water softening (demineralization) vessels and services to provide softened boiler makeup water during peak demand periods when the existing on-site system capacity is exceeded. The contractor shall:
- Provide and maintain four (4) portable water softening vessels on-site, each capable of treating up to 100 gallons per minute and containing approximately 30 cubic feet of ion exchange resin.
- Ensure vessels are skid-mounted and suitable for forklift handling.
- Achieve a treatment objective of reducing total hardness to less than 0.3 mg/L as CaCO3.
- Deliver fully regenerated vessels and perform on-demand exchanges.
- Perform emergency exchanges within 24 hours of notification.
- Provide a dedicated service representative with an 8-hour response time.
- Be capable of commencing services within two (2) weeks of contract award. Services include delivery, pickup, off-site resin regeneration, and provision of operations and maintenance documentation. BNL will provide rigging services.
