• Substitute specific paragraphs within FAR provisions 52.204-8, 52.212-3, 52.212-5, and 52.213-4 with updated versions provided in Attachment 2.
• Contracting officers should consider modifying contract actions nearing the end of their performance period.
• Contracting officers are generally prohibited from requiring offerors to disclose greenhouse gas inventory or emissions reports.

Instead, for new solicitations and contracts, contracting officers are to use the attached solicitation provisions and contract clauses in lieu of the FAR part 52 paragraphs.

Open solicitations must be amended to remove the aforementioned provisions and clauses and incorporate the attached ones.

Existing contracts are to be modified to remove the specified clauses and incorporate the attached provisions and clauses, unless the contract has less than 6 months remaining in its period of performance and no options to extend.

This deviation impacts FAR subpart 22.8, DFARS subpart 222.8, and specific FAR clauses including 52.222-21, 52.222-22, 52.222-23, 52.222-24, 52.222-25, 52.222-26, 52.222-27, 52.222-29, 52.212-3, 52.212-5, 52.213-4, 52.222-9, and 52.244-6. The deviation also revokes E.O. 11246 and directs the Government to not use the term "gender" in Federal policies and documents, aligning with E.O. 14168.

This deviation requires changes to solicitation provisions and contract clauses.
