Scope of Work

If MIL-STD-454 is referenced, compliance with IPC/EIAJ-STD-001C is expected. Packaging requirements are per MIL-STD 2073.
Eligibility & Source Approval
Mandatory engineering source approval is required. Companies not previously approved must submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR) to the contracting officer by the solicitation's closing date. The SAR must include:
- Complete configuration drawings and test procedures for similar items produced within the last three years.
- Complete process/operation sheets, including subcontractor details.
- Copies of purchase orders and shipping documents for production quantities of similar parts.
- A detailed comparative analysis between the similar part and the requested part (materials, configuration, tolerances, processes, dimensions).
- Copies of inspection method sheets, highlighting critical characteristics. This SAR is a subset of the ASO Source Approval Information Brochure (January 1995).
