Eligibility & Special Requirements
- Contractor Qualifications: Must be primarily engaged in providing armed 24/7 CSO services, with at least five consecutive years of documented experience in four or more states concurrently, serving large facilities similar to FAA Security Level 4. State licenses are required.
- Personnel Qualifications: CSOs must be U.S. citizens, at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma/GED, and meet specific experience/education requirements. They must pass pre-employment investigations (background, fingerprinting), medical/physical standards, drug screenings, and demonstrate English communication proficiency.
- Firearms Qualification: CSOs carrying firearms must qualify annually using the DHS Required Course of Fire (minimum 80% score) under a certified instructor. Personal weapons are prohibited.
