Scope of Work
The contractor will provide health insurance services to employees of the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia, and their eligible dependents, as well as ORE Staff and Peace Corps employees. Coverage must meet minimum benefit levels outlined in Section C of the solicitation. Key benefits include, but are not limited to: Hospitalization, Emergency Services, Ambulance, Outpatient Services, Obstetric and Newborn Care, Pediatric Services, Prescription Drugs, Preventive and Wellness Services, Hearing Aids, Optical Care, Dental Care, Reproductive Health, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Care, Rehabilitative and Habilitative Services, HIV/AIDS, and Catastrophic Coverage.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Fixed-price with economic price adjustment.
- Period of Performance: One base year, commencing 30 days after contract award, with four (4) one-year option periods.
- Estimated Value: Minimum of 2 premiums per period of performance; maximum of 8000 premiums for the base and all option years.
- Taxation: Value Added Tax (VAT) will not be reimbursed; the contractor must not include VAT on invoices due to the Embassy's tax exemption.
