Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to award a sole source contract on behalf of the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  The proposed source is MicroVention, Inc. NMRC has a requirement for completion of testing required for the submission of a 510(k) (Premarket Notification) for a prehospital aortic occlusion device to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  Completion of the testing is required for the subsequent submission of the 510(k) application to the FDA.  Completion of the required testing must be inclusive of, but not limited to completion of the molded components that are ultimately part of the final design of the device. Date: March 1, 2018.
