• Local Optician Requirement: A local optician must be provided, as the previous contract has been inactive for 1.5 years.
• Samples: Samples of frames and lenses are not required.
• Photochromic Lenses: Transitions-branded lenses are not specifically required; other photochromic lenses are acceptable.
• Carrying Case: A hard-side carrying case, sized to accommodate protective eyewear, is required.
• Frame Tiers: Frame tiers are not based on specific characteristics but on meeting OSHA/ANSI requirements, with additional tiers offering enhancements.
• Optician at Award: An optician does not need to be in place at the time of solicitation submission; they can be provided shortly after an order is placed under the BPA. The Initial Staffing Plan can state TBD for employee names.
