Set-Aside / Eligibility
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.501, exempting it from full and open competition. The justification for this limited source acquisition is that The Anchor Group, Inc. was the original installer of the equipment in 2001 and is considered the sole provider of required services and knowledge. Efforts to find alternative local service vendors were unsuccessful. The Contracting Officer certifies that only one source is reasonably available and that the price will be fair and reasonable.
Submission & Evaluation
This notice is NOT a request for proposal. However, the DEA will consider all capability statements received by the deadline. Information received will be used solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses is solely within the Government's discretion.
Additional Notes
The current security system is over twenty years old and considered outdated technology. Interested sources capable of providing the services should submit capability statements electronically to Ms. Angel Barkley.
