Scope of Work
The requirement is for a Stem for a 6-inch Ball Valve, to be manufactured in accordance with Navy Sea Systems Command Drawing 7285216, piece 52, with specific amplifications. Key requirements include:
- Material: QQ-N-286, form 2, annealed and age hardened, with no weld repair allowed.
- Testing & Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis, Annealing and Age Hardening, and Ultrasonic Inspection on starting material. Certifications are required for specific tests.
- Inspection: Thread inspection per FED-STD-H28 series or equivalent. O-ring grooves and mating sealing surfaces inspected per contractually invoked drawings or General Acceptance Criteria (GAC) standard.
