Scope of Work
The primary requirement is for comprehensive tree maintenance within the cultural landscapes of Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park (SAGA) and Blow-Me-Down Farm (BMDF). Services include:
- Tree Fertilization: Deep tine fertilization for specific Thornless Honey Locust and American Elm trees, including mycorrhizal fungi solution.
- Tree Removal & Replacement: Removal of Lombardy Poplars and other dead/damaged trees, with replacement planting of approved species (minimum 10 feet in height).
- Stump Removal: Grinding stumps to 3" below grade, backfilling, and seeding.
- Tree Pruning: Pruning of various trees, including large oaks, to remove dead, dying, diseased, interfering, or weakly attached branches, adhering to ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards.
- Tree Planting: Planting an American Elm cultivar resistant to Dutch Elm Disease and other specified trees, meeting ANSI Z60.1 standards.
All work must be performed under the direction of an ISA-certified Arborist with an experienced Crew Supervisor present. Compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 and 1910.331-335 for work near power lines, and ANSI Z133.1-2000 for safety, is mandatory. A two-year warranty is required for all replaced or planted trees.
