  • Scope: The contractor shall design, fabricate, assemble, and test fit one stand set, then two additional sets, in accordance with the Overall PDM Stand Set Drawing. Stands must be compatible and interchangeable with existing work stands, featuring recessed hardware and collapsible engine stand forward railings. The scope includes various stand types such as Conect/Crown, Staircase, "Pig Pen", wing, nose, engine, and fuselage stands. The contractor must field verify dimensions and provide complete drawings.
  • Specific Requirements:
    • Compliance with OSHA, NFPA, AWS, ASTM, and AFOSH standards.
    • Stands must meet specific load capacities and height adjustment requirements.
    • Electrical and compressed air components must be weather-rated.
    • Contractor must be ISO 9000 compliant.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in aircraft stand/work platform fabrication.
    • A Quality Assurance Specialist with at least 5 years of experience with ASME Y14.100 is required.
    • Design submissions at 25%, 75%, and 100% stages.
    • Provision of training, operation, and maintenance manuals.
    • Compliance with on-base requirements (environmental, safety, tool control, FOD/DOP prevention).
