Scope of Work

This project involves the consolidation and renovation of existing Data Center Spaces (2B-105 and BH-111) within Building 70 at the Minneapolis VAMC to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiative. The work must be performed without network downtime, requiring a phased renovation approach and after-hours, night, and weekend work. Key tasks include:

  • Installation of new IT equipment enclosures, racks, and Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
  • Upgrading power distribution and cable management, including structured cabling compliant with ISTS.
  • Installing new redundant Medical Distribution Areas (MDAs) for A/B fiber paths and redundant UPS systems.
  • Providing additional raised floor shoring/structural supports and temporary utilities.
  • Installing new Computer Room Air-Conditioning (CRAC) units, reconfiguring ductwork, and connecting to the existing IT chilled water loop.
