• Air Emissions: Notification to 434 MSG/CEV is required before altering, replacing, or installing emission-producing equipment. Contractors are responsible for all permit requirements and record-keeping until contract completion.
• Wetlands: If projects are in undeveloped areas, contractors must comply with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 401 Water Quality Certification, including wetland delineation and obtaining permits if necessary.
• Cultural Resources & Natural Resources: Contractors must stop work and contact CEV immediately if potential cultural resources are found. No known threatened/endangered species are listed, but CEV should be contacted if discovered.
• Tanks: Containers 55 gallons and larger require secondary containment. Oil containers must be inspected per SPCC. Inspections are submitted quarterly, annually, and at project completion.
• Spills: Contractors are responsible for reporting and cleaning up any spills (fuel, oil, hazmat) immediately to CEV. A list of spills is required quarterly and at project completion.
• Asbestos: Contractors must comply with the asbestos management plan. Licensed inspector reports, sampling locations, chain of custody forms, and sample results are required before demolition. Contractors are responsible for permits and notifications (e.g., IDEM State Form 44593).
• Lead-Based Paint (LBP): All buildings are designated non-priority. Contractors must comply with LBP regulations. Testing results must be reviewed by CEV before removal. Licenses and insurance are required for abatement activities.
