The Advanced Propulsor Management Office (Code 808) in the Naval Architecture and Engineering Department (Code 80) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is responsible for managing the Research and Development (R&D), design, testing, and delivery of United States Navy (USN) submarine propulsors and associated components. To support future USN, APMO is investigating the use of a Improved Bearing on an attack submarine. A prototype bearing mounting structure and bearing shell shall be designed and manufactured.
To complete this tasking, the clause 52.216-22 has been extended to allow for deliveries till 30 April 2027 via P00013 on N0016720D0013.
