• Packaging: Specific requirements under MIL-PRF-23199 and MIL-DTL-24466 for cleanliness-controlled items, with MIL-STD 2073 also applicable. Fire retardant packaging is no longer required.
• Documentation: Extensive guidance on DD Form 1423 for data item descriptions, submission frequencies, and distribution statements. Deliverables include Vendor Certified Reports of Test and Inspection (DI-QCIC-8872) and a Certification Package (DI-NDTI-80809).
• Material Restrictions: Exclusion of mercury or mercury-containing compounds.
