This solicitation seeks a Protestant Chapel Musician to support the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Command Chaplains Office. The musician will support the mission of developing spiritual and personal readiness for operating forces and the Camp Lejeune community through ministries, pastoral care, and the facilitation of religious expression.

• Perform as a vocalist, guitarist, and/or pianist/keyboard musician for Protestant Chapel services and other religious events.

• Coordinate musical arrangements with the Chapel Pastor or Officiating Chaplain.

• Lead congregation in worship through music.

• Perform up to one service per week (not to exceed 52 per year), with mid-week rehearsals for praise teams/choirs.

• Support up to 20 special services per year (e.g., Holy Days, funerals, memorials), but not weddings.

• Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled events.

• Provide and compensate a pre-approved substitute when unable to perform services.

• Notify the Contracting Officer (KO), Contracting Specialist (CS), and Officiating Chaplain of any instrument malfunctions or required services.

• Notify KO, CS, and Officiating Chaplain of inability to perform due to illness, weather, or emergency, with as much advance notice as possible.

• Scheduled vacations require 2 weeks advance notice.

Questions & Answers / Clarifications

This document provides responses to vendor questions regarding Solicitation M6700126Q0038, clarifying requirements for musical services at the Camp Lejeune Chapel.

• Contract Type: This is a new contract, and there is no incumbent contractor.
• Equipment: The Base Chaplain's Office will provide musical instruments, pianos/keyboards, and sound reinforcement equipment. The contractor is not required to provide their own.
