Scope of Work
The Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (PREC) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Protestant religious education (RE) programs for ages 1 through adult within the Maxwell AFB Protestant Worship Community (PWC). Key responsibilities include:
- Aligning programs with the Chapel Annual Ministry Plan, RE fiscal year calendar, and budget.
- Serving as coordinator, teacher, facilitator, and organizer for all Protestant RE events.
- Teaching pre-approved curriculum when volunteer teachers are unavailable.
- Coordinating effectively with chaplains, chapel staff, volunteers, and military personnel in a religiously pluralistic environment.
- Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for RE programs.
- Working at least 20 hours per week, averaging 80 hours per month.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant Air Force Instructions and Chapel Operating Instructions.
- Passing a Criminal History Background Check and Installation Records Check.
- Adhering to the endorsing religious organization's requirements.
