Scope of Work
The contractor will provide a board-certified MRSE to consult with the facility's Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) and Magnetic Resonance Medical Director (MRMD) on all MRI safety-related questions and requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing consultation on MR safe imaging of implanted medical devices, including guidance, calculations, and quantification.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of MR Safety and Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
- Consulting on the development of MRI protocols for patients with MRI conditional implanted devices.
- Actively participating in the planning, installation, and acceptance of new MR equipment.
- Serving as the subject matter expert for root cause analysis or administrative investigations related to MR adverse events.
- Attending quarterly Radiation/MRI Safety Committee meetings via MS Teams. All health physicists performing MRSE services must be board-certified by the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety.
