Purpose
This Sources Sought notice is issued by the 502d Air Base Wing to conduct market research and gather information from interested and capable contractors. The government aims to identify small businesses that can perform the required services for the replacement of an oil shaft seal on Chiller 1.
Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all supervision, labor, transportation, materials, tools, incidentals, equipment, and quality assurance necessary for the removal, disposal, and replacement of the oil shaft seal. This includes providing lifting equipment, specialty tools, parts, and qualified technicians. The new oil shaft seal must be OEM-approved and compatible with the existing York Model YKFTFT-CMGS chiller. Tasks involve coordinating with facility personnel, removing the old seal, installing the new one according to manufacturer specifications, conducting a thorough leak test, and cleaning the work area. All technicians must be certified in HVAC, refrigeration, and electronic systems. Work must comply with CEO Contract Specifications, Uniform Building Codes, Air Force Regulations, and OSHA Requirements. A 5-year full warranty covering units, labor, and installation is required.
