Statement of Work (SOW)

To replace an older Teledyne Isco flow meter and sensor at outfall 001 with a newer, lower maintenance model that provides more accurate readings and utilizes a non-contact laser sensor. This is required to meet NPDES permit requirements for daily water flow measurement.

Task 1: Purchase Equipment

• Purchase a Teledyne Isco Signature LaserFlow System (part 68-4360-060), including base station, LaserFlow sensor with ultrasonic level sensor, and user manual.
• Purchase additional components: permanent wall mount, power cord, internal mechanical totalizer, network expansion box with desiccator, and 120 ft. bulk cable.

Task 2: Installation and Field Service

• Removal of the current Teledyne Isco 2150 flow meter, quick disconnect box, and area velocity sensor from storm manhole 01-1000 (approx. 34 ft. deep).

• Installation of the new LaserFlow sensor near the bottom of storm manhole 01-1000.

• Running cable to a quick disconnect box in a small outbuilding.

• Installing the Signature flow meter base station in the outbuilding.

• System start-up and training for NASA GRC Environmental Management Office (EMO) personnel on system use and maintenance.

• The new system must provide more accurate readings and lower maintenance costs.

• Training on system use and maintenance is required.

• Installation at outfall 001 at Lewis Field.

• Storm manhole 01-1000 is approximately 34 feet deep.

• Confined space entry is required for removal and installation tasks within the storm manhole.

• A task-specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) must be submitted and approved by NASA GRC Safety Office for confined space entry.

• Contractor must possess proper training, equipment, and medical clearance for confined space entry.

• Contractor is responsible for developing a HASP for equipment removal and installation.

• Teledyne Isco Signature LaserFlow System installed at outfall 001.

• Removal of current Teledyne Isco 2150 Flow meter, area velocity sensor, and quick disconnect box.

• Training for GRC EMO personnel.
