Quick Summary
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is soliciting quotes for the purchase of EvoLogics Hydroacoustic modems. These specialized modems are required for the Subsurface Moored Buoy (SSB)–Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) system, supporting the NASA SWOT mission. This opportunity is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotes are due by February 3, 2026.
Scope of Work
NOAA requires two specific EvoLogics S2C T Hydroacoustic tiny-Modems:
- CLIN 0001: EvoLogics S2C T Hydroacoustic tiny-Modem 18/34 Delrin (RS232), Part number: S2C-W-T04V-01-R (Quantity: 1 each).
- CLIN 0002: EvoLogics S2C T Hydroacoustic tiny-Modem 18/34 Stainless Steel (RS232, wake), Part number: S2C-T04V-03-R-W (Quantity: 1 each).
These modems are uniquely suited due to their full compatibility with existing EvoLogics R- and M- series systems, proven field performance, ultra-compact form factor, low power consumption, and rated depth of 200-3000m. They must operate at depths exceeding 100m, be suitable for long-duration subsurface deployments, provide sufficient data throughput, acceptable latency, and integrate seamlessly with existing SSB instrumentation and the SeaTrac USV's onboard data handling.
