Scope of Work
The requirement is for comprehensive professional pyrotechnic services for the 2027 Beale Air Show, scheduled for April 16-18, 2027, at Beale Air Force Base, CA. Services include choreographing and deploying pyrotechnic effects, such as a "Wall of Fire," synchronized with aerial demonstrations. The contractor must adapt to air show schedule changes, collaborate with the Air Show Director and pilots, and perform services during planning, arrival, practice, and execution phases.
Key Requirements
- Personnel: Must be qualified and certified to handle pyrotechnics, with an approved ACC "Shooter in Charge."
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure absolute safety and regulatory compliance with federal, state, local, DoD, and Air Force standards (e.g., DESR 6055.09, DAFMAN 91-201). Comply with the 9RW Commander's Pyrotechnics Risk Assessment.
- Logistics: Manage legal transportation, handling, and storage of explosive materials. Provide explosive information within three business days of request.
- Performance: Configure a "Wall of Fire" for single-ship fighter demonstrations, supporting various aircraft (U-2, T-38, F-15, F-18, F-22, F-35, P-51). Maintain minimum 500 ft safety distances from aircraft.
- Coordination: Work closely with aircraft units and pilots. The 9 RW/SEW (Weapons Safety) office is the single point of contact for explosive operations.
- Insurance: Provide proof of adequate insurance.
- Cleanup: Remove all unused and expended munitions from the installation.
