The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market capabilities in relation to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 621512 with a Size Standard $19.0 Million.

Network Contracting Office (NCO 2) of the Department of Veterans Affairs on behalf of the VISN 2 Upstate Medical Centers (Albany Stratton VA Medical Center) is seeking a contractor (s) to assist with teleradiology services.
This is a request for a two year contract for teleradiology services to be provided to the Albany-Stratton VA Medical Center. Teleradiology will be supplied during WHEN hours and normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm) when VA staffing is inadequate for timely reading of images. The services are needed urgently to prevent diversion to local hospitals, as diversion negatively impacts clinical outcomes, patient safety and patient satisfaction and results in exorbitant costs to VA.
The Contractor shall furnish Board Certified Radiology Physician Services to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Albany-Stratton VA Medical Center. The VA Radiology Services are accredited by ACR and follow the standards & guidelines set forth by American College of Radiology. A contractor providing tele-radiology services shall provide services consistent with The Joint Commission (TJC) and that meet or exceed VA and the American College of Radiology Guidelines as defined in this document.
Contract physician(s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by the contract shall have a current license to practice medicine in the State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia where services are being performed. All licenses held by the key personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Contract physician(s) who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.
All contract physician(s) shall be board certified. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times
Contract physician(s) shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently. Contractor shall provide documents upon request of the CO/COR to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed. Contractor s physicians shall have knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to serve Radiology & Nuclear Medicine patient population. Contractor shall provide verifiable evidence of all educational and training experiences including any gaps in educational history for all contract physician(s) and other contract provider (s) shall be responsible for abiding by the Facility's Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations (referenced herein) that govern medical staff behavior.
