This document is a Sources Sought notice issued by the Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC) on behalf of the Indian Arts and Crafts Board (IACB). Its purpose is to gather feedback from industry regarding requirements for contractor support, as described in an attached Statement of Work (SOW). The goal is to identify Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) and Indian Economic Enterprises (IEE) capable of performing the work. This is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a commitment to contract.

Offerors are requested to provide the following:

• Business type (seeking ISBEEs/IEEs, NAICS code 561110 or other recommended codes, small business status)
• Brief company overview (years in business, employees, nature of business, location, products/services, clients)
• Existing contracts or Federal Supply Schedules relevant to the requirement
• Point of contact information (name, phone, email, address)
• Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and Unique Entity ID (UEI)
• Any other relevant information based on past experience with similar requirements

Browning, Montana, on the Blackfeet reservation.

• Format: Synopsis of capabilities and contact information, maximum ten (10) single-sided pages, 10-point font, one-inch margins.

• This is not a solicitation, and responses will not be considered for award.

• The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in responding.

• Information provided is voluntary and may be used to refine future solicitation requirements.

Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure one full-time Museum Assistant for the Museum of the Plains Indian (MPI) located in Browning, Montana, to support the facility's operations and maintenance.

The Museum Assistant will perform a variety of tasks including:

• Maintenance: Mowing, trimming bushes and trees, edging sidewalks, collecting and disposing of trash, assisting with carpentry, painting, snow removal, and special maintenance projects.

• Custodial: Cleaning restrooms, exhibit cases, museum galleries, vacuuming, and general janitorial duties.

• General Museum Tasks: Assisting the curator with public events (setup/cleanup), moving equipment, monitoring brochures, hanging labels, answering phones, directing calls, providing front desk coverage, and reporting issues to museum staff.

• Period: April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

• Place: Museum of the Plains Indian, 19 Museum Loop Rd, Browning, MT 59417.

• April 1, 2026 - May 30, 2026: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

• June 1, 2026 - September 30, 2026: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

• Contractor Responsibilities: Provide a qualified Museum Assistant, conduct background checks, and notify the government of successful completion prior to employee start. Obtain necessary Tribal Permits within five days of award.

• Key Personnel: Resumes required for key personnel demonstrating General Maintenance Experience, Basic Groundkeeping and Lawn Care, Basic Janitorial Services, and Basic Electrical knowledge.

• Reporting: The Museum Assistant must notify the Contractor if unable to perform duties by 9 AM local time. The Contractor must then inform federal employees and the on-site contact.

• Timesheets: Daily timesheets required, submitted monthly with invoice, signed by the assistant and supervisor, and emailed to the COR.

• Kick-Off Meeting: Contractor to organize a meeting within 5 business days of award with the COR and MPI Curator.

• Government Furnished Equipment: The government will provide necessary tools and equipment.
